A multi-award winning cake artist from Sunny South Florida, discovered his passion for art at an early age. Initiating his culinary infatuation was popular Food Network shows such as, Ace of Cakes and Food Network Challenge. At the age of 13, Jarid had made his first cake and has not looked back ever since. Constantly growing and expanding his repertoire, Jarid's first competition at the age of 14 was at That Takes the Cake Sugar Art Show in Austin, Texas.
Having the opportunity to meet and learn from his cake idols, Jarid's gravity defying creation stole the show winning 1st place and best of the teen division. His competition bug has thrived from competing in other shows across the country, winning to his amazement.
Jarid, 16 years old, now travels the country teaching his craft, divulging on his whimsically realistic creations, with a specialty in sculpting and structured cakes. When not caking, Jarid is preoccupied with school being editor in chief of Coral Springs High School's yearbook, Vice President of National Honor Society, and with homework, absurd amounts of homework.
